The club’s description

Text from the historic profile: descriptions, comparisons and references reflect the period in which it was originally published.

The BMW C1 Family’s Friend 200 is the 125’s bigger sister. It retains all the safety features of the smaller model, with the added pulling power and acceleration of a 176 cc motorcycle. Ideal for getting around town in early-morning traffic, quick away from the lights and cheerful both to ride and to look at, it is also at home on ring roads and stretches of motorway. It is available in two different, brightly coloured finishes. As with all motorcycles over 125 cc, this vehicle can be ridden after obtaining an A2–A3 licence (minimum age 18 for category A2 and 21 for category A3), or by anyone who obtained a category B licence before 1 January 1986.
